Some Odds and Ends

Hi this page is going to have some “tests” that are really still in the oven, but at the same time I am really thinking about where they might be going. I am excited about this work but I am also having a difficult time really getting it up off the ground. Most of these images are dealing with my project The Eventual Horizon that I have been thinking about for roughly 2 years now. I hope by putting this up and having it look back at me I will get motivated to start moving forward on it again. The next couple of lines is some initial thoughts on the project and where it is coming from and where it might be going.

Thoughts on the Eventual Horizon

The Eventual Horizon gives voice to the dark matter of time, space, and the perceived laws of nature. From black holes and dinosaurs, to global positioning networks, the show will create, a non-linear approach for contextualizing  and representing the ideas and systems we use to navigate our lives and the universe. The work will embody the artist musings on coming to terms with the reality of the impossible and the need to master it.

From compressing eons of history into inches of earth to energy escaping the grasp of a black hole, time and space is explained, qualified and symbolized by scientist into ideas that are easily grasped and understood.

Even as the world is no longer seen as flat, the mystery, beauty and terror of the unknown is just as strong as when Columbus set sail seeking new trade routes.

The eventual horizon looks to visually interpret many of the mysteries of physics and the universe.
